  1. Find Your Kindle's Email Address

  • Log in to your Amazon account on a computer. 

  • Go to "Account & Lists" and select "Devices." 

  • Now select the Kindle device you want to send the PDF to. The email address associated with your Kindle will be listed here.  

  • Copy the unique device email.

  1. Approve Your Email Address

  • While still in "Devices," select "Preferences" (tabs) 

  • Scroll down to "Personal Document Settings" and find the "Approved Personal Document Email List." 

  • Select “add a new approved e-mail address”. Add the email address you will use to send to this list to allow the sending of documents to your Kindle. 


  1. Email the PDF file to Your Kindle

  • Compose a new email from your newly approved email address. 

  • Attach the PDF file you want to send. 

  • In the "To" field, enter your Kindle’s email address. 

  • Don’t include a subject or message. 

  • Send the email. 


  1. Sync Your Kindle

  • After sending the email, sync your Kindle to receive the new PDF. The document should appear in your Kindle library under "Docs."
